2001 – 2002 Evaluation Results – Summative  Workshop Evaluation Form

Urban Dreams provided basic computer training to over 300 parents and youth during the 2001-2002 academic year through a cooperative arrangement with the Marcus Foster Institute.  The training focused on basic computer concepts and skill development through hands-on training.  Table 1 provides an overview of the participation rates by location who completed a Summative Workshop Evaluation Form.

The evaluation form consists of two sections.  The first section contains 6 questions and a corresponding Likert scale.  Participants are asked to rank from “1” (lowest) to “4” (highest), the quality of the training using six indicators.  Section 2 consists of three open-ended questions.

 

Table 2 contains a descriptive analysis of each of the questions in Section 1.

The median score on the four-point scale was 4 indicating that the vast majority of participants thought that the trainings were of the highest quality. On average over 82% of the participants gave each quality indicator the highest rating.

Ways the trainings were helpful:

#1 - It help me to understand how to use my computer, and how to work more easy if you work on a project.  It helps me to understand so many things that I didn’t know.
